Storming heaven, Cuba or anti-imperialist solidarity

The Left Berlin & Berlin Insoumise present: “À l’assaut du ciel, Cuba, ou la solidarité anti-imperialiste” (in French with English subtitles).

The documentary highlights the internationalist legacy of the Cuban Revolution and denounces the pressure exerted by the United States against Cuba and Venezuela. The film will be followed by an open discussion moderated by Berlin Insoumise.

Before the main feature, we will show “At Home in La Güinera” (Cuba, 2023) by Elena Hernández Buscaino. The short film portrays the daily lives of women from two different generations living in La Habana, Cuba, raising questions around reproductive labour in a society shaped by both extreme scarcity and resilience, almost seven decades into the U.S. imperialist aggression against the island.

Money raised will be sent to Breaching the Blockade

Suggested entry fee: 2-5 euros (to cover venue fees and raise money), but no one will be turned away.
