SUMMARY:The Left Berlin Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:The Left Berlin Summer Camp will be on 12th – 13th September in Naturfreundehaus Hermsdorf on the edge of Berlin. Summer Camp is an annual event where international activists and organisations based in or around Berlin get together to plan how we can change the world \nThis includes podium discussions on Germany and Palestine\, and the international fight against the far right\, there will be workshops on everything from organising your workplace to Iran. There will also be food and drink\, a culture programme and overnight accommodation. \nWe recommend a donation of between €10 and €50\, but no-one will be turned away because they can’t afford it. 30 beds are available to stay overnight – booking a place guarantees a bed. \nTo help us organise food and accommodation\, please fill in this form if you are attending Summer Camp. \nHere is the planned programme. Late changes are possible\, but we will try to stick to this schedule as much as we can. \n \nFor more information\, please contact us at summercamp@theleftberlin.com

SUMMARY:What does Palestine solidarity look like today?
DESCRIPTION:with \n– Hüseyin Dogru. journalist \n– Hannah Bruns\, Die LINKE BAG Palästina \n– Nora Ragab. Palästina Spricht\, Palestinian Feminist Archive \nJust 12 months ago\, Germany had its largest ever demonstration for Palestine\, when 150\,000 people marched in Berlin. 6 days later\, a “ceasefire” was announced. Israel has continued to kill Palestinians\, in Gaza and elsewhere\, but the ceasefire has had a demobilising effect on the Palestine movement. \nMeanwhile\, in Germany\, the repression continues\, not least in the case of the Ulm5 who are facing heavy prison sentences as a result of a non-violent action against Elbit’s weapon factory in Ulm. \nIs it possible to maintain a mass movement for Palestine in Germany? How can we reach the people who demonstrated one year ago? What concretely can we do now? Join in this discussion with our panel of activists. \nThis meeting is part of the Left Berlin Summer Camp in the Naturfreundehaus Hermsdorf on 12-13 September. \n

SUMMARY:Fighting the far right in Europe
DESCRIPTION:The AfD is now the most popular political party in Germany\, and looks sets to make major gains in elections in Eastern Germany in September. Part of their programme is Remigration – the forced deportation of millions of people. It is becoming increasingly clear that the AfD is a Fascist party. \nMeanwhile\, in France Marine Le Pen’s Rassemblement National is gaining strength\, and the UK recently saw a Nazi demonstration of 100\,000 people. The far right is profiting from capitalist austerity\, and they are a danger to us all. \nWhy is the far right on the rise? Is it inevitable that they will continue to gain strength? Most importantly\, what can we do to stop them? Join anti-racist activists from Germany\, France\, and the UK to discuss how we can concretely organise against the new Nazis. \nThis meeting is part of the Left Berlin Summer Camp in the Naturfreundehaus Hermsdorf on 12-13 September.

SUMMARY:Film: Earth's Greatest Enemy
DESCRIPTION:The next Left Berlin Film Club is showing Earth’s Greatest Enemy in the Casino for Social Medicine \nEarth’s Greatest Enemy reveals a hidden truth rarely questioned in mainstream reporting: the role of the U.S. military as the world’s largest institutional polluter\, tracing the link between war\, empire\, and ecological destruction. \nDrawing on powerful testimonies from veterans\, scientists\, and frontline communities\, it uncovers how military operations poison ecosystems\, accelerate global warming\, and sacrifice the future for endless expansion. \nFrom Alaska’s melting glaciers to contaminated bases across the U.S. and toxic battlefields abroad\, Earth’s Greatest Enemy delivers a provocative and unflinching examination of the untouchable institution playing an outsized role in the climate crisis.

SUMMARY:Political Walking Tour: Prenzlauer Berg\, What Happened to You?
DESCRIPTION:Today\, Prenzlauer Berg is known for gentrification: latte\, brunch\, and insufferably bougie babies. \n– Not that long ago\, in the 1990s\, the neighborhood was full of squatters and nonconformists.\n– Before that\, in the 1980s\, the run-down area was the center of East Berlin’s counterculture.\n– And before that\, in the 1920s\, this was a communist stronghold.\n– And before that\, it started as a working-class slum outside the city gates. \nThis walking tour will look at repurposed breweries\, anarchist bars\, and churches used for punk concerts. We will run into the painter Käthe Kollwitz and even the author Franz Kafka. We will visit the queer squat Tuntenhaus\, as well as spaces where Nazis and communists slugged it out. We will be trying to answer the question: How was a once magical neighborhood ruined? Prenzlauer Berg\, what happened to you? (Incredible Herrengedeck) \nOur tour will be meeting in front of Zion Church (Zionskirche). We will meet at 14:00 and leave by 14:10. The tour will end two hours later at Filmtheater am Friedrichshain. \nSuggested donation is 15 euros per person\, but any contribution is appreciated and none is required. You can also pick up a signed copy of the book “Revolutionary Berlin.”

DESCRIPTION:Winter 2026 Cohort \nHosted by The Left Berlin & Reincantamento \nNovember 3rd-December 8th\nEvery Tuesday\, 18:00-20:30 CET\nCourse Duration: 6 weeks \nRegister now \nFrom endless protests that go no where\, infighting and planeries that never needed to happen – there are skills\, frameworks and ideas on how we can be better organizers. There are many strategies when it comes to building power\, facilitating meetings\, strategizing our theories of change or managing money. But most organizers never learn this kind of practical political education \nWhether you don’t know where to start or want to break out of ineffective forms of organizing\, Architectures of Change will provide you with the practical and conceptual tools necessary to build effective political organizations. \nWho is this course for? \nAnyone who is interested in political organizing. Our former participants have been people who have an interest in politics but have never applied it\, or come from a wide range of movements: Anti big tech\, workers’ rights\, the Palestine solidarity movement\, alternative economics\, climate & beyond.\n\nWho is it taught by? \nSimone Robutti – Simone is an organizational developer and educator from Italy. Coming from a STEM background\, he eventually moved into more organizational and political roles which he has a decade of experience in. His main political experience is within Tech Workers Coalition\, a worker-run International organization building worker power in the tech sector. He’s also currently active in Reversing.works\, a technical investigation group revealing evidence of illicit worker surveillance through mobile app analysis\, and Cables of Resistance\, a major German anti-big-tech conference. He is based in Berlin. \nMiho Soon – Miho is a researcher\, facilitator\, designer and coach from Malaysia. Her work focuses on political perspectives towards the human relationship with money and work. She has brought together hundreds of students\, activists and organisations across Europe and Asia to talk about how personal experiences connect to a systemic context around capitalism. She has been active across degrowth\, migrant justice\, Palestine solidarity and tech movement spaces. She is the host of the documentary podcast Money Trauma\, and an affiliate fellow of The Post Growth Institute. She’s currently based in Berlin. \nPricing: \n-Solidarity: €120 per person\n-Group Discount: €120 per person for groups of 3 that register together\n-Standard: €200 per person \nCheck the link below for terms around payment. SUMMARY:The November Revolution of 1918/1919
DESCRIPTION:108 years ago\, an insurrection took place in Berlin. With the general strike of November 9\, 1918\, workers toppled the Kaiser and ended the First World War. \nThus began the November Revolution. Millions of people took to the streets to fight for an end to capitalism. But the Social Democratic Party allied with the imperial military to drown the revolution in blood. \nA century after the uprising\, we will visit the spots where Rosa Luxemburg\, Karl Liebknecht\, Richard Müller\, and countless proletarians in the German capital changed the history of the world. \nOur tour will be meeting near Potsdamer Platz — on the south side of the square\, at the exit of the U2 subway station\, next to Espresso House (Potsdamer Platz 10). We will meet at 15:00 and leave by 15:10. The tour will end two hours later near Hallesches Tor. We will not be using public transportation — the tour is completely outside. \nSuggested donation is 15 euros per person\, but any contribution is appreciated and none is required. You can also pick up a signed copy of the book “Revolutionary Berlin.”
