The situation in Gaza is catastrophic. 90% of the population has been forcibly displaced, and Israel is bombing the ‘safe’ areas where refugees have been told by the Israeli army to flee for their safety. More than 31,497 have been killed, including more than 12,500 children and 6500 women.
Duha Almusaddar works as an RLS project manager in Gaza, and is on a brief visit to Germany, during her stay she would like to let people in the Global North know how desperate life in Gaza is. The LINKE Berlin Internationals and theleftberlin website are organising a meeting with Duha to let you know what is happening in Gaza at the moment.
Duha will be joined on the podium by Fida’a Al Zaanin, who has been coordinating solidarity work in Berlin and will talk about what you can do to support the people of Gaza.
The meeting will be in oyoun, Lucy-Lameck-Straße 32, the cultural centre which was closed down for hosting an event by the Jewish Voice for a Just Peace in the Middle East, but is still facilitating solidarity events like this.
Anyone who is interested in supporting Palestinian rights is invited to come along, listen, ask questions, and make your own suggestions.
