Queer Cinema for Palestine (QCP) is a global film event that takes place during Pride Month around the world under the slogan “No Pride in Genocide.”
The QCP 2026 60-minute short film program focuses on the work of queer, Palestinian, and allied artists, across locales, in historic Palestine and the diaspora, identities, lengths, styles and genres (doc-hybrid, experimental, fiction, and animation) to highlight art’s position in resistance and the struggle for liberation.
This year’s edition includes more than 300 screenings in sixty countries, from Georgia to Germany, from Pakistan to Panama. The program has been translated to nearly 20 languages.
In Berlin, The Left Berlin is showing 6 short films in Refuge on Friday 19th June from 7pm. If you can’t make it to this screening, there is another screening in Theater X on Saturday 20th June.
QCP is co-organized by hundreds of partners around the world together with the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI), a founding member of the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. PACBI challenges Israel’s pinkwashing agenda designed to portray itself in a positive light because it offers some rights to some members of the LGBTQIA+ community, while attempting to distract attention from the daily reality of its illegal military occupation, its apartheid regime and, now, its genocide against Palestinians.
QCP 2026 audiences are going beyond watching the films, to take part in a collective action during screenings to shout No Pride in Genocide and declare their refusal of Israeli pinkwashing. Audiences are also learning about queer engagement in solidarity with the Palestinian liberation struggle, including via campaigns for ethical Pride policies excluding companies and institutions complicit in Israel’s crimes against Palestinians; local, national and global LGBTQIA+ organizations/networks becoming Apartheid Free Zones; campaigns to exclude LGBT+ groups with ties to the Israeli government or that engage in pinkwashing Israeli apartheid and genocide from international bodies; and rejecting Israeli funding and refusing collaborations with complicit Israeli institutions.
