Generation Palestine is an organisation which we formed at the end of 2010. It unites German-speaking youth and young adults from 14 years old, who have a mutual interest in bringing Palestine, its history and its reality into society.
Since our formation, we have been committed to imparting knowledge and raising awareness about Palestine. This happens through training sessions, talks and seminars, which deal with the history of Palestine from early times and its different developments to the present. On top of this, we look at the Palestine question using historical facts based on international law and human rights.
Our work is not just in the education sector. It is also organised around numerous social and public actions, including vigils, demonstrations, information meetings, as well as the action “Drachensteigen für Palästina” (kite flying for Palestine). We supplement this through different cultural and social projects to strengthen consciousness and promote an active and engaged community of youth.
In 2025, we added an extra group to our organisation, called Generation Palestine Junior, for children aged between 4 and 13. This group offers age-appropriate education, leisure and support programmes, including lessons, creative workshops, excursions, interactive activities, seminars and further meetings. The aim is to bring Palestinian children closer to their history and culture in an age-appropriate way.
We are convinced that knowledge is the basis for consciousness, and that bringing up a generation which knows its history and the values of justice and human dignity is a mutual responsibility. This is why we carry out our work to strengthen children and young people, to give them a solid understanding of Palestine, and to encourage their positive participation in society.
