From the River to the Streets is a photography exhibition documenting three years of continuous protests and actions on the streets of Berlin demanding justice for Palestine.
We invite you to the opening event, where we aim to create a space to share stories and thoughts, collectively reflect on how far we have come and what drives us to keep going, and envision how to continue the struggle more effectively. We all share a clear ultimate goal: the total liberation of Palestine. And we will not stop until we achieve it.

This exhibition is a tribute to all those who continue to take to the streets, facing repression with a smile on their lips and hearts filled with fire. To all the Palestinian martyrs! To all the Palestinians who teach us life through their resistance and resilience.
About Us
We are a collective of independent freelance photographers based in Berlin dedicated to capturing and documenting the ongoing pro-Palestine demonstrations in the city. For the last 3 years, we have been on the front lines, witnessing the powerful solidarity of Berliners rallying for an end to the genocide in Gaza, the illegal occupation of Palestine, justice and freedom for the Palestinian people, and the cessation of Germany’s military, political, and economic support for Israel. Throughout this time, the Berlin police responded to these demands with systematic violence against demonstrators and dangerous racist attacks on Arab, Muslim, and Palestinian people. Nevertheless, state repression failed to break the wave of solidarity and activism.
The exhibition offers an insider’s perspective on the pro-Palestine demonstrations, challenging the distorted narrative of mainstream German media, which portrays these protests as radicalized spaces while intentionally ignoring the violence and provocation carried out by the Berlin Police.
The slogan “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” has been among the main justifications used by German police to break up demonstrations in solidarity with Palestine and intervene violently against protesters. The exhibition’s title takes inspiration from it.
