Shuruq Josting

Shuruq Josting is a German-Palestinian student and researcher based in Berlin. Throughout her studies and in much of their work their focus has been to better understand the intersections of the Palestinian struggle and other movements for liberation and justice. As an activist, Shuruq previously organized with a variety of grassroots initiatives in and beyond Berlin. In 2020, she was one of the co-founders of the Zait wa Za3tar Festival, a festival celebrating Palestinian arts and culture and hosted a panel discussion on Palestinian feminisms. Shuruq also hosts a podcast called “Area D – Decolonizing with Palestine”.
