Esra Sarıoğlu

Esra Sarıoğlu is an Assistant Professor in the department of sociology at the University of Virginia. She is the author of The Body Unburdened: Violence, Emotions, and the New Woman in Turkey (Oxford University Press, 2022). Her current book project examines swimming pools in Berlin.
